Lluís Costa (www.lluiscosta.net) holds a Ph.D. in history and is a full professor at the University of Girona. His lines of research are communication history and historical relations between Cuba and Catalonia. Author of numerous scientific articles and more than twenty books, among which La Llumanera de Nova York: Un periòdic entre Catalunya i Amèrica (2012), Pensar és triomfar (2015) and Las construcciones nacionales: entre el imaginario y la realidad (2017) must be highlighted. He has participated in several scientific and academic events held in Cuba and has taught at the University of Río Piedras in San Juan de Puerto Rico. He has directed several master’s and Ph.D. thesis. He is the academic director of the Cultural and Institutional Communication Campus, and leader of the research group Institutional and Social Communication.
