Lois Klassen
Lois Klassen is an artist, writer, and researcher based in Vancouver, Canada. Her on-going art project, Reading the Migration Library, collaboratively produces artist books related to human and ecological migrations. Klassen’s research focuses on the ethics of artists’ practices (including research-creation methods). Klassen is a Postdoctoral Fellow at criticalMediaArtStudio, SFU and was a 2020 Fulbright Fellow at University of Texas El Paso. A coordinator of the research ethics board at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, she is a member of the Canadian Association of Research Ethics Boards Circle of Experts and a member of the Research-Creation Research Group at UBC’s Centre for Migration Studies.
