Louise Franklin
Dr Louise Franklin is programme leader for the BA (hons) in art history at the Bristol School of Art and an associate lecturer at the University of the West of England. She is a Soutine scholar, having undertaken her doctoral research on the subjects of the artist’s reception in inter-war France, historiographic construction and continuing significance. Her research spans inter-war French art, art and visual perception and concepts of place and space, and she has also published within the field of modern British art, including on the themes of visual experience and the sales histories of artists David Bomberg and Walter Sickert.
