Lucinda Coleman
Lucinda Coleman is an adjunct lecturer at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Edith Cowan University, Australia. As the founding dance maker for the Australian performing arts collective Remnant Dance, she has co-directed and co-produced various and diverse arts productions throughout Australia, and in Vietnam, China and Myanmar, 2010–20. Her artistic works have included dance films and site-specific dance works, as well as short and full-length contemporary dance theatre pieces performed in dance industry, education and community contexts. As an early-career researcher, Coleman has published in the Refereed Proceedings of the 2014 World Dance Alliance Global Summit; the Journal of Emerging Dance Scholarship; Research in Dance Education; and Performance Matters. Her research interests include dance-making as a site for social justice arts engagement, collaboration, collective practices, site-specific dance-making and cross-cultural performance.
