Lucy Bayley

Lucy Bayley is a lecturer, researcher, writer and curator. She has studied at University of Sussex and the London Consortium. She was previously curator of national programmes at the Contemporary Art Society where she programmed international and national curatorial research and worked on the acquisition of contemporary art for its membership of 69 UK museums. Today she is a lecturer and tutor at Middlesex University in visual communications and is course leader of Sotheby’s, finance and the art market. Lucy is studying for a collaborative Ph.D. with the Institute of Contemporary Arts and Middlesex University drawing on the archives to consider processes mediation and programming, 1968–86. She recently contributed to the American University of Beirut’s conference, exhibition and publication Contemporary Artistic ‘Revolutions’: An Institutional Perspective.
