Lucy Dawes Durneen

Lucy Dawes Durneen’s poetry, short stories and non-fiction have been published and commended internationally, in journals including World Literature Today, Hotel Amerika, The Jellyfish Review and Poetry Ireland. Her fiction has been Pushcart Prize nominated, while her non-fiction has been adapted for broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and listed as a Notable Essay in Best American Essays 2017 edited by Leslie Jamison (Houghton Mifflin, 2017). Her first short story collection, Wild Gestures, was published in 2017 with MidnightSun; it won Best Short Story Collection at the 2017 Saboteur Awards in London, and was longlisted for the Edge Hill Prize 2018. She currently teaches creative writing at the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education, and lives in Cornwall.
