L. Lusike Mukhongo

L. Lusike Mukhongo, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the School of Communication at Western Michigan University, USA. Lusike’s research explores global digital hegemonies, participatory digital cultures, social movements, and digital inclusion. Ongoing research includes reframing global media narratives and images of Africa (Africa no Filter), the development of the three-step RDO Model for repositioning African narratives on global digital platforms through reframing, disruption and occupying online spaces (Africa Media Collaborative), and voice enabled chatbots for women small-holder farmers in Africa (Mozilla Foundation).
