Marc Gil Garrusta

Marc Gil Garrusta is lecturer of contemporary and current history at Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He holds a Ph.D. in history from Universitat de Barcelona. He is a member of the research group IdentiCat. Language, Culture and Identity in the Global Age. His areas of research focus on the contemporary history of Spain, especially the period of Franco’s dictatorship. He has analysed the constitution of the first Francoist city hall in Barcelona, published in his book Barcelona al servei del Nuevo Estado (2018, Serra d’Or Research prize).
