Marcel Mauri i de los Ríos
Marcel Mauri i de los Ríos (Badalona, 1977) holds a Ph.D. in social communication from Pompeu Fabra University, since 2010. Historian, journalist and professor of history of journalism and journalistic ethics in the Department of Communication at the UPF, he also acts as Ethics and Information Law consultant at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He has published articles and books on history of journalism and journalistic ethics. In 2007 he conducted a pre-doctoral stay at Université Paris-Sorbonne. In 2010 he performed postdoctoral research at Columbia University (New York). In 2012 he won the Joan Givanel i Mas Award in Social Communication, from the Institute for Catalan Studies (IEC). Since 2016, he is the coscientific officer of the official project MediaAces, Media accountability in Spain, founded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy.
