Marco Bellardi

Marco Bellardi is an assistant professor at University College Dublin, School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics. He holds a Ph.D. in Italian studies from the University of Birmingham. His main research areas are nineteenth- and twentieth-century Italian literature, theory of film, intermediality and narratology. He has authored the book Uno smisurato equilibrio: La narrativa sperimentale di Giuseppe Pontiggia (Franco Cesati, 2014) and is currently working on his second monograph titled The Cinematic Mode in Twentieth-Century Fiction (Edinburgh University Press, forthcoming). He has published articles in The Modern Language Review, Italian Studies, Frontiers of Narrative Studies and Enthymema.
