Mari Keski-Korsu

Mari Keski-Korsu is a post-disciplinary artist and researcher who explores manifestations of ecological changes. Her medium of artistic practice is a hybrid combination of participatory performance, interventions, visual and live art. Her research is focused on interspecies communication and complexities of care to possibly enable empathy towards ecosystems. She is interested in relations in between art, activism and science from permaculturic and ecofeminist perspectives. Her works have been exhibited across Europe and elsewhere in galleries, museums and festivals. In 2022–24, she is working Access Abisko programme in sub-Arctic Sweden, researching on how climate breakdown affects rituals. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate to study towards Doctor of Arts degree in the research field of contemporary art in Aalto University’s School of Arts, Design and Architecture.
