Maria de la Peña Mónica Pérez Alaejos
María de la Peña Mónica Pérez Alaejos is an associate professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Salamanca. She holds a degree in sociology, a degree in audio-visual communication and a Ph.D. in communication from the same institution. She is the principal investigator of the recognized research group in Creative, Cultural, and Communication Industries (GRIC) and teaches in the Degree Program in Communication and Audiovisual Creation at the University of Salamanca. Her research focuses on radio production and broadcasting, particularly in new narratives and the distribution and diversification of digital audio, educational podcasting as a resource and teaching methodology, and the intersection of communication and cultural economics with a specific focus on bullfighting. Pérez Alaejos also has extensive experience as a writer and presenter of radio and television programmes. She is a member of the Spanish Association of Communication Research (AE-IC) and the Spanish Society of Journalism (SEP).
