Maria João Carmona
Maria João Carmona has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Beira Interior and a master’s degree in social and organizational psychology from Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. She is interested in issues of a social nature, such as equality, inclusion and social justice, particularly among people within the LGBTQI+ community. Her interest in these subjects encouraged the development of her master’s thesis, which focuses on gender identity and how it is perceived by the families of transgender and non-binary youth.
