María José Ufarte Ruiz
María José Ufarte Ruiz has a degree in journalism (2005) and a doctorate in journalism (2011) from the University of Seville. She is currently a professor at the Faculty of Communication of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. She is the main researcher of the research group Journalism: Narratives and Technologies and has been a visiting researcher at the University of La Frontera (Chile) and at the University of La Sapienza (Rome). In addition, she has participated in different national and international R&D&i projects and has spent several academic research and teaching stays in prestigious centres. Among her lines of research are the evolution of journalistic genres, new narratives and emerging technologies.
