Maria Liu Wong
Maria Liu Wong (EdD) is an educator, scholar, maker and curator. She serves as the provost of City Seminary of New York and directs its Walls-Ortiz Gallery and Center. Liu Wong holds graduate degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary and Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests include arts- and place-based pedagogies, action research, lifelong learning, urban theological education, diversity, women and leadership, learning cities and youth ministry. Recent publications include the book Stay in the City and articles on ministry in the city and theological education. She lives in New York City with her husband and three children.
