María Piqueras-Pérez
María Piqueras-Pérez is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of English Studies at the University of Murcia. She is the recipient of a Séneca Foundation doctoral grant. She has been a visiting researcher at the University of Westminster, London, King’s College London and the University of Liverpool. María’s research focuses on the productions of the Black British workshops the Black Audio Film Collective, Ceddo and Sankofa. She explores their productions through her areas of interest, which include – but are not limited to – cultural studies, film studies, memory studies and postcolonial studies.
