Mariano Navarro

Mariano Navarro is a tenured research (class A) professor at Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City and a member of the National System of Researchers at the National Council of Humanities, Sciences and Technologies in Mexico. His research focuses on media philosophy and the institutional and intellectual history of communication studies in Latin America. He holds degrees in journalism and philosophy and lectures on the effects of media in society. He has been a visiting scholar at the Universities of Iowa and Westminster and a speaker in several public and private institutions. He is the current dean of the School of Communication at Universidad Panamericana, a top-ranked institution in Mexico. He is secretary of the Society for Phenomenology and Media and a member of several international academic associations. As administrator he holds certificates in leadership and management from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and IPADE Business School in Mexico.
