Marie Solange Razafimbelo-Harisoa

Marie Solange Razafimbelo-Harisoa is a Ph.D. student in the Sociology of Mass Communication at the University of Panthéon-Assas of Paris II. She worked as a journalist for ten years in Madagascar, mostly as a reporter and producer in a private local radio station and as correspondent in Europe for Malagasy newspapers. She is the founder of MATERA, a francophone press agency covering the Indian Ocean area, and from 1995 to 2000 was Vice President of the ALJM (Association Libre des Journalistes de Madagascar), the Association of Malagasy Journalists that has campaigned for freedom of speech.
