Mariela Agüero Barrantes
Mariela Agüero Barrantes is a Costa Rican historian, textile conservator and cultural analyst. She holds an MS in textiles, fashion merchandising and design from the University of Rhode Island. Her research interests include popular culture, subcultural sartorial styles and youth movements during the twentieth century. She currently works as assistant collections manager at the Museos del Banco Central de Costa Rica (Museums of the Central Bank of Costa Rica).
