Marina Michelis

Marina Michelis is a Ph.D. candidate at the postgraduate programme in communication at PUC-Rio, Brazil. She holds a master’s degree in social communication (PPGCom, UFPR), and a bachelor’s degree in journalism (UEPG). Currently, she works as a researcher at the Research Group on Digital Interactions (GRID, Puc-Rio) and at the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Research in Social/Political Theory and Post-Structuralism (Labtesp, UEPG). Her studies converge on the areas of media ecology and anthropology applied to communication. During her master’s research period, she studied digital democracy, elections and conversational processes in online social networks. She is interested in the interfaces between the fields of communication, anthropology and philosophy.
