Marina Petric
Marina Petric was born and raised in Brazil to a Serbian father (who had left former Yugoslavia for political reasons) and a Brazilian mother. After spending two decades in the United States and feeling able to apprehend her native country from a distant perspective, she seeks to understand the origins of political violence. She is a doctoral student in the College of Media and Communication at Texas Tech University.
