Mark Featherstone
Mark Featherstone is Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Keele University, UK. His main research focus is the study of utopias and dystopias in sociological thought, philosophy and culture. He published a monograph on the topic, Tocqueville’s Virus, in Routledge in 2008 and is currently working on the follow-up to this volume. This work, Planet Utopia, will appear in Routledge in 2013. Related to this project, he is also in the process of writing a companion work on the dystopian dimensions of contemporary globalization and horror culture with Beth Johnson. This book called Carnographic Cultures will appear in Palgrave in 2014.
