Mark Sheridan

Mark Sheridan is reader in music and creativity at the University of the Highlands and Islands. He leads the music research group and is co-chair of the Humanities and Arts Research Cluster. His research activities reflect his teaching interests in composition, traditional music and music education. He is programme leader for the Masters in Music and the Environment which brings creativity, sustainability and interdisciplinary research together to support innovative activity in community settings. He is a composer and his most recent work, a one act Opera, Dreaming Agrakas was premiered at the Expressing the Earth conference in remote Argyll in June 2017.
