Mark Turin

Mark Turin is an anthropologist, linguist and occasional radio presenter, and an associate professor of anthropology at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He has worked with Indigenous communities in the Himalayan region since the early 1990s and in the Central Coast of Western Canada since 2015. He is the author or co-author of four books, three travel guides and the editor of ten volumes, and he edits a series on oral literature with Open Book Publishers.
