Marta Montagut Calvo
Marta Montagut Calvo is lecturer in journalism at the Communication Studies Department in the Rovira and Virgili University. Her research is based on political communication and the relationship between radio journalists and political sources. From the frame analysis perspective, she is currently exploring the narratives related to the Catalan and the Scottish political situation and the European refugee crisis, comparing the frames and metaphors used on air, especially in press and radio, and the role that intonation plays in the political discourse building process. She is also interested in sound archives and how they are used in Spanish documentaries to build historical narratives in radio.
