Martha Newbigging
Martha Newbigging is a multidisciplinary artist with practices in drawing, comics, illustration and animation. Their work explores queer sexuality and gender through self-narrative visual storytelling. Holding a BFA from OCADU and a Master in Environmental Studies from York University, Martha is a faculty member in the Illustration programme at Seneca College, Toronto. Their research interests include queer and feminist theory, arts-based methodologies and critical pedagogy for social justice.
