Mary Kathleen Newell
Mary Kate Newell is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Music Education at Temple University. She holds a Master of Music Education and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Delaware. Her teaching and research interests include early childhood music, steel band, elementary education majors, movement, and creativity. She is a member of GIML, PAOSA, MENC, NAEYC, and CMMA. When she is not studying or teaching, Ms. Newell enjoys playing the steelpans and piano.
