Matthew Rowney
Matthew Rowney is currently completing his dissertation, entitled ‘Reframing Romantic Nature: Towards a Social Ecocriticism’, under the direction of Alan Vardy at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. His essay ‘Broken Arbour: The Ruined Cottage and Deforestation’ is forthcoming in the September 2015 issue of European Romantic Review. A book chapter ‘Imaging lastness: The Last Man and the contagion of modernity’ is forthcoming in Romantic Catastrophes, published by Liverpool University Press, and his essay ‘Fearful symmetry: Borges and the geometric language of the brain’ is also forthcoming in the Journal of Literature and Science.
