Matthias Berg
Matthias Berg (b.1981) is a research assistant at the Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI) at the University of Bremen (Germany). Currently, he is working on a research project on ‘Mediatised Everyday Worlds and Translocal Communitization’ within the priority program ‘Mediatised Worlds’ funded by the German Research Foundation. Before this he was a fellow of the German National Academic Foundation. In his Ph.D. project, Matthias Berg focuses on the interrelations of job-related mobility, mediated digital communication, interpersonal relations and social communication networks. He holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Analysis, Musicology and Economy from the University of Bremen. His research interests include communication and mobility, media and popular culture as well as the appropriation of social media.
