Mattia Boccuti

Mattia Boccuti is a Ph.D. candidate in Italian literature at the University of Notre Dame. His dissertation project focuses on Dante’s representation of Beatrice throughout his literary career. He has published articles on Dante’s ‘Purgatory’ and ‘Earthly Paradise’ and book reviews in the field of medieval literature, as well as a paper on Petrarca’s Penitential Psalms. His interests also include Renaissance studies and, in particular, the editorial history and broader reception of Castiglione’s Il Cortegiano. He is currently researching the cinematic representations of Dante’s works.
