Mayumo Inoue
Mayumo Inoue is an associate professor of comparative literature at Hitotsubashi University. He has co-edited Beyond Imperial Aesthetics: Theories of Art and Politics in East Asia (with Steve Choe, Hong Kong University Press, 2019). His work in English has appeared in journals such as Criticism, Discourse, and American Quarterly. His articles in Japanese have been published in las barcas, Gendai Shiso, and Ecce. His current book project explores a poetics of ‘inoperative community’ within the transnational biopolitical space that has been formed across the United States and East Asia since 1945.
