Megan Reisel
Megan Reisel currently lives in the mountains of the Berkshires in western Massachusetts where she works as a registered somatic movement therapist, utilizing the Gyrotonic system and Bartenieff Fundamentals. Megan Reisel holds teaching ranks in Japanese Aikido and Filipino Kali, a BFA, Dance from Cal-Arts (1973) and MA Dance from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA, 1998). Her certification in LBMA (1997) was from Integrated Movement Studies. She has taught LBMA at UCLA, Cal-State LA and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Megan produced a four-disc DVD collection of oral histories, ‘Laban’s Legacy’ in 2005 which sold over five hundred copies worldwide. She also has advanced studies in Figure Skating and Argentine Tango. She lectured about LBMA at the International School of Theatre Anthropology in 1998.
