Mel Kennard
Mel Kennard is a Ph.D. candidate in creative practice in the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of New England (UNE), focusing on the relationship between speculative fiction and the early eugenics movement. She completed her Master of Arts in media and communications at UNE, writing her dissertation on the recent television adaptation of The Handmaid’s Tale. Mel’s creative writing has been published in Meniscus Literary Journal and Literary Taxidermy.
