Merve Kütük-Kuriş

Merve Kütük-Kuriş is currently an independent researcher based in Istanbul. She received her M.Phil. degree in political theory from the University of Oxford (2011) and her Ph.D. degree in politics from SOAS, University of London (2016). She has published in edited collections, including Handbook of Contemporary Islam and Muslim Lives (Springer, 2019) and Family, Marriage and Women’s Employment in Turkey (Metis, forthcoming). She previously worked as an adjunct lecturer of gender and politics at Istanbul Şehir University. Her research interests include anthropology of Islam, social theory and feminist theory with particular reference to the politics of subjectivity.
