Michelina Di Cesare
Michelina Di Cesare is an Associate Professor of Islamic archaeology and art history at Sapienza University of Rome. Her publications include The Pseudo-Historical Image of the Prophet Muḥammad in Medieval Latin Literature: A Repertory (De Gruyter, 2012) and Jamshid’s takht or Solomon’s malʿab? Archaeological Reflections on Persepolis and Iṣṭakhr in Arabic and Persian Texts (Sapienza University of Rome, 2015). Di Cesare is also the editor of Sharing Material Culture: Ivory and Bone Artefacts from the Mediterranean to the Caspian Sea from Antiquity to the Middle Ages (Sapienza University of Rome, 2019).
