Micheline Hughes

Micheline Hughes is an Indigenous woman from Wampanoag nation and a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Native Studies at the University of Manitoba. Her work as a research assistant on the Digital Archives and Marginalized Communities (DAMC) project focuses on the Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women Database (MMWID). Her doctoral work uses Mi'kmaw stories to investigate how Mi’kmaq Peoples negotiated Catholicism.
