Michelle Scatton-Tessier

Michelle Scatton-Tessier is an associate professor of French and associate dean at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Previous to this position, she was chair of the Department of World Languages and Cultures, and director for the women and gender studies on her campus. Most recently, her article on pregnancy in the films of François Ozon appeared in The French Review (2016) and her essay, ‘A politicized pregnancy film: Mathieu Kassovitz’s Métisse (1993)’, was published in Film International (2018). She is currently completing a book on the cinema of Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
