Mika Alavaikko
Mika Alavaikko is a lecturer of social sciences at Diaconia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki Finland. After conducting Bachelor’s thesis supervision, teaching of methods and coordination of different aspects of thesis work, his interests have turned into academic research. Currently he is a Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Education, University of Lapland, Rovaniemi. His research interests include educational design in higher education, internationalization of higher education and bachelor’s thesis at the field of social work and health. He enjoys crossing boundaries between professional fields, academic disciplines and other (imagined) communities.
