Mimi Savage

Myriam D. Savage (Mimi), Ph.D., RDT/BCT, is a founding faculty member for the UCLArts and Healing Social Emotional Arts (SEA) program, an adjunct at CIIS drama therapy and counselling programs, as well as the arts education specialist for the Sunset Cultural Center, Carmel. Dr Savage has a private practice, leads professional development courses, facilitates youth in residential treatment for dual diagnosis, and trains and supervises an international drama therapy student body at her school, SoCal Drama Therapy Center. She is a recipient of a Drama Therapy Fund professional grant for her research on adopted girls from foster care and publishes on the topic. She previously served on the board of the North American Drama Therapy Association and currently acts as Education Chair under which she is also a founding member of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Initiative.
