Miriam Shrager
Miriam Shrager is senior lecturer in the Department of Slavic and East-European Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, Bloomington. Her research interests are structural and comparative historical linguistics, folklore, cinema, literature and history. She edited, with Edna Andrews, George Fowler and Steve Franks, the volume Studies in Slavic Linguistics and Accentology in Honor of Ronald F. Feldstein (Slavica Publishers, 2015). She has also published articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Slavic Linguistics, Issledovanija po slavjanskim jazykam and Baltistica. She is translating, from Russian to English, Vladimir Propp’s book Istoricheskie korni volshebnoi skazki (The Historical Roots of the Wondertale) (1946) in collaboration with Sibelan Forrester and Russell Valentino (project in progress).
