Mo Throp

Dr Mo Throp is an artist and associate researcher at Chelsea College of Arts where she supervises practice-based fine art Ph.D. students. Throp is co-convenor with Dr Maria Walsh of the subjectivity & feminisms research group, is editor of the book The Performance Dinners (Chelsea College of Arts, UAL, 2014); co-editor with Maria Walsh of Twenty Years of MAKE Magazine: Back to the Future of Women’s Art (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2015), and has contributed a chapter with Walsh to Revisiting the Gaze (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2020). Throp has exhibited at the Wallace Collection in 2004; BreadMatters, Cyprus 2014; Co-existent Ruins at the Brunei Gallery in 2022; Freud Museum 2020; exhibited and co-curated at the Danielle Arnaud Gallery in 2004 and 2008. Throp’s research is concerned with practice-based research and with exploring new transformative possibilities for conceptualizing identity and subjectivity especially informed by recent feminist thinking.
