Morad Moazami
Morad Moazami is a doctoral candidate at University of Oxford’s Oriental Institute. At present, he is researching the intersection of Iran’s media culture with state ideology and dress from 1965 to 1985. In so doing, he hopes to investigate the manners in which the print and televisual media cultures of these decades sought to ‘style’ an Iranian citizenry founded on arbitrary concepts of either Euro-Americanism or Islamic modernism. As to how these media and their content actually affected the citizenry – that is a question, he believes, which can only be answered through media ecology.
