Naho Matsuda

Naho Matsuda is a design researcher and visual artist. Naho is a senior researcher at the Interaction Research Studio based at Northumbria University, engaging in practice-based research integrating design-led research methods and working on embedded and ubiquitous technologies to produce prototype products, embodying new concepts for interaction. The studio’s latest project (www.mynaturewatch.net), a collaboration with Dr Rob Phillips, uses distributed design fostering people’s engagement in the natural world and was broadcast on BBC Springwatch. Naho recently worked as a researcher at the Royal College of Art and City University, exploring human and non-human animal interactions and developing technologies for more sustainable and equitable cities. She teaches on the Graphic Design MA at Kingston School of Art, and the BA and MA Design at Goldsmiths UoL.
