Najma Jamaludeen

Najma Jamaludeen is a passionate and creative inventor, businesswoman and educator. As an inventor Najma designed the BasketMate. This unique and industrious product was featured on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) and in the national retail chain Bed Bath and Beyond. As an entrepreneur, Ms Jamaludeen has recently acquired a brick and mortar that will house her own line of natural skin care products. In addition, she is a full time lecturer at Morgan State University teaching fashion design and textile science in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. Since 2017, Najma Jamaludeen has held the position of treasurer on the board of the Henrietta Lacks House of Healing, an organization that seeks to decrease recidivism rates of men in Baltimore city. While all of these areas of work require specified skill sets, they are bound together by her immense passion for learning and rooting out creative function and purpose. Najma Jamaludeen earned her BA in apparel and textile merchandising from Wayne State University and has an MS in textile technology from Eastern Michigan University.
