Naoko Murakoshi

Naoko Murakoshi is an associate professor at Mukogawa Women’s University in Japan. She holds a Ph.D. in clinical education. She is a somatic educator who teaches the Mitzvah Technique and recently became a Certified Teacher of BodyMind DancingSM of Martha Eddy. She developed her international career as a dancer of Toronto Dance Theatre, The Four Horsemen Project, and Kaeja’d Dance. Naoko has taught modern/contemporary dance technique at York University (2000–06), Kobe College, Japan (2006–11). She devotes her time teaching dance and research focused on somatics and dance education. She spent a year (2019–20) in New York as a visiting scholar at New York University. Currently, she is in the course of Certified Movement Analyst: CMA at LIMS.
