Nat Mengist

Nat Mengist is currently a PhD student at the University of Washington. Nat has professional experience in community gardening, outdoor science education, and nonprofit leadership. His projects critically appraise technocultural imaginaries through a commitment to environmental and reproductive justice. Nat’s research has been supported by the Walter Chapin Simpson Center for the Humanities, and he has publications in Magic, Ritual, and Witchcraft, Art, Design, & Communication in Higher Education, the Companion Publication of the 2023 ACM Designing Interactive Systems Conference, and the anthology The Anthropocene Laboratory.
