Natasha Mayo
Natasha Mayo completed her Ph.D. in 2003 and in 2004 became a senior lecturer in ceramics at CSAD. Her practice is fuelled by interest in materials sociability, weaving drawing, poetry, oral histories and sensory anthropology, alongside figurative practice, to test more holistic and generative approaches to creativity. Drawing credentials include: devised HEA symposium Drawing In-Between: Interdisciplinary Learning through Drawing (2010); two-day workshop Drawing Conversations (2011) at V&A; Drawing into Practice (Intellect Ltd, 2012); ‘Drawing parental conversations’ (2014) exploring how drawing can be used to navigate family relationships; ‘Drawing as a social tool’ (2016) at the Berger Conference; and drawings published in Making and Drawing (A&C Black, 2018).
