Nathaniel Sikand-Youngs
Nathaniel Sikand-Youngs graduated with First Class Honours in American Studies from the University of East Anglia, where he received the Joe Greenwell Scholarship to support a year abroad at the University of California, Berkeley. He is undertaking funded postgraduate research in American studies at the University of Nottingham. Among his other awards are the British Association for American Studies Undergraduate Essay Prize in both 2016 and 2017 and the Ede and Ravenscroft Prize for academic and extra-curricular achievement. He has written for The Daily Californian newspaper (www.dailycal.org/author/nsikandyoungs) as an online columnist and for the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library in Norwich, England, as a contributor of articles based on their archival materials (www.2ndairstories.com). He has also published an essay on ‘race’ in Dvorak’s ‘New World Symphony’ in the Hungarian Journal of English and American Studies (vol. 23:2, 2017).
