Nelson Ribeiro
Nelson Ribeiro is Assistant Professor at the Catholic University of Portugal. He is the author of several books and journal articles on transborder broadcasts and on the history of Portuguese media, focusing on the influence of politics in broadcasting during the Estado Novo dictatorship and transition to democracy. Member of the board at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture, Lisbon, his latest book, published in 2011, is entitled BBC Broadcasts to Portugal during World War II: How Radio Was Used as a Weapon of War.
