Neville Gabie

Artist Neville Gabie has developed numerous projects using film, photography and sculpture. His work derives from a response to specific locations and situations in a state of flux or transition. From 2010 to 2012 he worked as artist in residence during the construction of the Olympic Park in London. With complete access to the construction site, he was the first ever artist to be invited to work with the development team for an Olympic park. This project resulted in an artwork made for a national newspaper with a circulation of three million, as well as a film and multimedia installation. He is currently working on a residency in Belval, Luxembourg in response to an evolving environment of a former steel works transformed to a high-tech city, incorporating the National University of Luxembourg. His work can be found in collections including the Tate Gallery, the Arts Council Collection and collections in South Africa.
